How many waterfalls are in Sri Lanka?

Sri Lanka is a beautiful country. It is best known in history for its right amount of natural beauty. There are more than 400 waterfalls in the country. Usually starting as small streams, they come down waving through the jungles and develop into tall waterfalls. With a height of 263 m, Bambarakanda fall stands tall as the highest waterfall in Sri Lanka. Jayanthimala Ella Falls: Most of these waterfalls are situated in the central part and a few famous ones include Ramboda, Lover's Leap, Bomburu, Ravana, Diyaluma, Devon, Laxpana, Aberdeen, Geradigini Ella, etc. The others are in abundance scattered in hilly regions where it's such a beauty at its best.
