What makes Sri Lankan fried rice unique?

Sri Lankan-style fried rice is especially remarkable for the flavorful spices and fresh vegetables, as well as the rice that is used-in itself a part of its soul. Cabbage, carrots, and leeks usually make up the vegetable lineup and are mixed with basmati or samba rice.

It is somewhat overlaid with the typical flavors that Sri Lankan fried rice could offer, a little bit of it all: red onion, garlic, cinnamon, curry leaves, cardamom, black pepper, and cloves. The taste is enhanced by using fried chicken, eggs, shrimp, or squid.

Those green peas, cashews, and raisins are added to the mixture for a twist of flavor. They are usually mixed with the rice at the end of the preparation. Soy sauce, tomato ketchup, and oils-namely vegetable oil and coconut oil-have to be chosen according to preference for cooking.

When all these ingredients blend in with the method of preparation, it brings out the very flavors of Sri Lankan fried rice and culminates in an exemplification of Sri Lankan cooking in a dominant fashion.
